Perhaps the simplest definition of life is,   “that period between birth and death.”

For some people life is wonderful. Filled with business and pleasure, family and friends, they seem to live life to the full and appear to want for little or nothing. In contrast, others strive for success in an increasingly competitive world, and struggle with their marriage, raising a family and making ends meet. Young people see life stretching ahead full of exciting possibilities. A career, marriage, travel, family, success, the list is endless. Yet there are those, both young and old who would say that they do not have a life! Mistakes and failures, wasted opportunities and foolish decisions have been their experience. For some sickness and disease has been their constant companion and many feel they have nothing to live for.

So, what is YOUR life?  In the Bible God, through the apostle James asks that very question, and then gives us the answer,

“For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then
vanisheth away.”  Jam 4:14

What then? Is that it, just a few years here and then finish, the end, nothing?    By no means!   Again God gives us the answer in the Bible,

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Joh 3:16

However good or bad your life is at the moment, Jesus said,

“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”   Joh 10:10
